...And I've become a teeny bopper

Let's face it.  Sometimes the emo indie songs are too much.  They aren't appropriate for a sun-streaked spring and riding in the car with the top down, wind blowing through your hair.  They have their own place, in a cool, dark bedroom when rain is streaming down the windows.  But not for my summer mix.

And this is what I've been reverting to....

Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen
One Thing by One Direction
What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction
Yes, I'm ashamed.  I'm really ashamed.  But it's all so CATCHY!  And POPPY!  Sigh.  And I'm a 17 year old again.

Does anyone share this guilty pleasure with me?

  14. LOL I agree with Amy, summer is a great excuse for listening to all the poppy songs... even if they aren't the "best" songs they are definitely catchy!

  18. I do, I do!

I've been listening to "Call Me Maybe?" on repeat for over a week. That and Train's "Drive By". I think I need an intervention.

  21. OMG, these songs are stuck in my head too and I am so embarrassed, because I am way too old for this. However, they are happy and catchy.

  22. I'm so obsessed with Call Me Maybe! I get so excited when it comes on the radio (which thankfully, is all the time)! I just wish I drove a hot pink jeep or something to get the most out of listening to this song! ;)
