Secret garden

Hello my lovelies - I hope that you all are well, and after the horrific events on Friday, spent your weekend appreciating time with friends, family and other loved ones.

Can you believe that it's only one more week until Christmas?  I've really been feeling the rush and crush of the holiday season this year, with even longer than reasonable lines at Trader Joe's on the weekdays and traffic at any time of day in all parts of the city.  I hope that you have been able to save some time for yourself, unplug for a bit and sit down to have a cup of tea.  I'm feeling much better - thank you all for your well wishes last week - and this week, I want to share another home that has gorgeous grounds.  Twenty acres, in fact, of beautiful gardens, green houses and potting sheds.  It's not difficult to believe that the outdoor spaces have been featured multiple times on tv shows and won multiple awards.  This country retreat is a perfect place to really get away from it all for a little bit, don't you think?

  1. Well, I would need to change just about every light fitting in this place but I think I could be very comfortable here! And so glad to hear that you are feeling much better!

  2. I'm quite surprised to see that Christmas is just around the corner. Where did the rest of December go? The cottage, greenhouse and trellis are my favorite and they remind me of a setting in a book I just read- The French Gardener by Santa Montefiore. Have a great week. :)

  5. Now that's a house I could call home. It needs some assistance, on the inside, especially--but oh, the promise!

  12. I'm so glad you're feeling better. This is a lovely house, but something about the garden gives me the creeps...I get the feeling of being stalked as I look at the paths. Don't know why, it doesn't look like the grounds in The Shining, but I get that same feeling. Perhaps current events are affecting my reactions.
