For the homebodies

Some homes that I've shared in the past on this blog, like this one, are party houses.  They're perfect for people who enjoy entertaining and the flow of the home is very conducive to having big parties.

However, this house is for my homebodies, the people who would rather curl up with a good book or movie than go out for a night on the town.  It's got wonderfully comfortable-looking furniture for lounging on and getting up only once or twice to refresh that iced tea.  I think I could sink into the sectional in the living room and not move for twelve hours.  Could you read in bed all night on any of those beds (I still can't tell which is the master) because I could.  Oh, but the best part is that you could still have intimate gatherings here.  There are separated conversation spaces that I think would be great for a book club meeting.

PS - That lamp in the sitting area right off the kitchen?  I own the same one.  Maybe this house is trying to tell me something...

  2. Yes! Being a homebody myself, I can definitely say you are right on this one... what a perfect house to curl up next to the fire place with a good book or cup of tea. This is probably my most favorite house you've shared thus far. :)

  3. I think this is definitely one of my favourite houses you have posted. It "speaks" to me! :) It's the Scandinavian-style bathroom that caught my eye (also love those beautiful doors that lead on to the pool area).

  8. Looking at these houses, I realize that I have little to no seating in my own house.

I think I like classic books!

  16. I like the lamp! The place does look comfy. Hopefully I wouldn't decide to do morning chin ups on the bed frame. I'd probably end up breaking that little doggie--among other things.

  20. The kitchen is great, and I love all the bed frames, but I'm confused by the use of clapboard on the face of the tub in the bathroom! It's like they had extra and just decided to build the tub in?
