Swamp people

Frenchie, his parents and I went to Brazos Bend State Park on a breezy Saturday afternoon to see alligators.  And we saw lots of gators in their own habitat.  Without a fence.  There are a few walking, hiking and biking trails that circled the lakes in the area and the gators would just be sunning themselves on the banks, right by the trails.  Warning signs say to stay at least 30 feet away from the gators but people would test their nerve, inching closer to get a better shot.

Frenchie's mom almost stepped on a snake at the second lake so we quickly left the area soon after.  Still, a wonderful and unique way to spend a day in Houston and also get some exercise in.

  3. Yikes - I think alligators are a bit scary... I had a really weird dream about snakes last night, I got reminded now when I see you mentioning it. I wonder what that was about?!

Hey - Game of thrones IS really good. I´ve read the books and just have to say that the TV-version is so well made with great characters! You should see it! :-)

  4. Ah, the post title--good times. And I'm afraid this is one jaunt to which I will stick to living vicariously. Alligators. Mainly, free roaming alligators. Eek!
