I may have to move...
... Into this home featured this week. I'm so not over this 1920s Colonial located in Fort Worth of all places. Doesn't it sound like I say this same thing every week? But seriously, this time, it's for real. I'm such a sucker for grand old homes that have been lovingly restored and this has got to be my favourite. This one. With the fireplaces in every room. With the absurdly large front porch. With the beautiful bathtub in the master bathroom. And I don't even take baths. The furniture can stay as well. Okay, okay, I'll just take the 400 square foot garage apartment. Anyone want to buy this home and be my landlord?
I clicked on that link fully expecting that house to be in the multi-million dollar range. You know you've lived in SF too long when you see a $600K price tag on and think, "That's all?!"
ReplyDeleteOMG this place looks incredible!! I just discovered your blog and LOOVE it! Now following you xx

Rooth, this house had me at the porch....sigh....
ReplyDeleteOnly $600,000??? Even on Coastal VA that's a good deal! I'm with Stephanie on this one. I loved every square inch of it, not one complaint and then I saw the apartment and my heart broke into a tiny million pieces of falling into love a little more. I adore small spaces like that so, so much.
ReplyDeleteNice! I would not mind living there either! I LOVE fireplaces. I really do.
ReplyDeleteLurve the green tile in the eating-nook fireplace! The house seems very "Pinterest-y" overall though, you know? All the design touches. But that garage scrapbooking room has my friend Aisling's name written allllll over it! xo
ReplyDeleteOh it feels so homey! I love it all - especially that big chalkboard wall in the kitchen!
ReplyDeletethis is amazing. i fell hard for the kitchen especially, which is funny because i rarely cook. ha. irony. i love older homes, especially when they've been updated. too bad my husband is the complete opposite.
ReplyDeleteso pretty. looove the porch and all those giant rooms! i've always wanted a house that had a little cottage in the back. though i am not sure this one would qualify as 'little' - still i'd take it all.
ReplyDelete1920s has got to be the BEST!
ReplyDeleteI will move there too.
I wouldn't change a thing. Except perhaps the location. I haven't had a good soak in quite a while. I think that would be a semi-regular thing if I lived there.
ReplyDeletesorry, it's a bit small for my taste ;)
ReplyDeleteOk this is just too fabulous/cozy/lovely I might die of an overdose. I love houses like this!

It's beautiful and obvious they like buntings. :) Seriously, though. Love it. You don't take baths? Man, I love relaxing in a nice bathtub.
ReplyDeleteI know of one person who lives in Fort Worth... I'm imagining this to be his house now.

I think if it was in Massachusetts I'd buy it right away. I'd even rent you the house and live in the garage myself!
ReplyDeleteI love large homes that still look comfortable, this house is lovely!

Me me me! I'll be your landlord! I'm very reasonable (honest)! Thing I love most about this place? It's got symmetry in spades!
ReplyDeleteOh, my . . . I do love. And that front porch . . . perfect for sipping a festive beverage, whilst reading a good book. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI love the country feel of the decor :)! And why would you need fireplaces in TX?
ReplyDeleteUh such of a porch like the one shown above! That or wrap around porches you see in those old southern homes. Great pictures and feature today! I think you should consider real estate or being on an HGTV show:)
ReplyDeleteYours Truly,
Olivia
Seriously, I love this house as it not too big, and clean. I would love to spend my days there.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day! x

such a beautiful home. i have been watching so many episodes of old houses being restored to their former glory and i have been enjoying every single minute of it. and i love those bunting flags on the chalkboard wall. gonna have to replicate that! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope it comes move-in ready with that furniture as well! Yowza!
