Back in muck

Gloriously sunny London weather
I'm back from sunny London, where the weather was so MUCH nicer than it was here in Texas, believe it or not.  I spent a very sunny week in the low 60s in our office there and came back to the freezing rain and gloomy muck.

Bryan's parents and their dog drove in to town from Michigan right when I was calling a car for the airport to head out of town.  Within two seconds of seeing each other again, the two dogs had roughhoused in the rain and covered each other with mud and wet paw prints and dog hair coated the floors.  The dogs would continue to wrestle with each other for the next three days.  On that furry note, I left the country for a week.

Thing 1 and Thing 2
They stayed at our place for a week before heading down to their "winter" home in Corpus Christi by the gulf.  To say that I'm not jealous of their retirement lifestyle would be a boldfaced lie.  Two daily beach walks and happy hour by the pool?  Sign me up.

Meanwhile we're in the 30s in Dallas, with rain and more rain in the horizon.  Mae - who loves rolling in the mud - caught her leg on something rolling and scratched it up.  It was puffy the first day but swelling went down the more she walked around on it.

I feel like a broken record talking incessantly about the weather but this is ludicrous for the first of March.  Don't we live in the South and isn't it spring time yet?

  1. It has been a crazy wet winter in Florida too. I am a little nervous what Summer will bring. Those pups are so cute!

  6. Hopefully it'll clear up there, but I'd be happy to send my snow down to you since you have the temperature to keep it around. At least London was sunny!
