The fever

It seems as though everyone I know has house hunting fever.  The girls that work in my office are putting offers in left and right, and even though I love apartment living and my small little space, I'm getting caught up in the fervor that's spreading like Texas wildfire.  I haven't gotten as bold as to actually attend an open house but cute little homes like the one featured below get my blood pumping, in spite of myself.  It's clean and simple, with big windows and beautiful floors throughout.  Even the wallpaper in the breakfast nook works (in my opinion).  At just over 1,500 square feet but with a price tag more than half a mil, you can tell that the housing market in Dallas hasn't cooled off.  Summertime is also prime time for house hunting.  However with little gems like this sitting on the market, how can I resist?

  1. How on earth is a single storey house worth that much ? It's ridiculous.

  2. I am loving that wallpaper in the breakfast nook as well:) And seriously...that bed is just awesome!
PS The house market has been crazy over here too! I am so clueless when it comes to real estate, but yeah....the market's just out-of-this world right now.

  5. Oh, my . . . I do love this home. I'm not planning to buy anytime soon, but I have been monitoring the houses for sale. I actually found one I LOVED--I even did a drive by in hopes the neighborhood was sketchy so I would feel better. Nope. Still loved. Apparently, I was not alone as it was only on the market for a day. :)

  7. That's a great home, it's so bright and airy. A house is an investment, and if the market remains hot, you'll probably pay nearly as much in rent each month as you would for a mortgage payment. I hope this helps you justify grabbing that little gem before someone else does.
