Orange you glad to see me?

I'm crossing my fingers for a good weather day on Saturday because it's the opening game for Texas Longhorn football! One of the things that I get ragged on, especially from my USC-fan cousins, is our "ugly" school colours - burnt orange and white. But trust me, burnt orange looks good on EVERYONE, regardless of complexion. If you're not ready to make the plunge and go head to toe burnt orange, good ol' rooth is here to ease you in slowly. Below are a few ways that you can dip your toe into catching the burnt orange spirit. Hook 'em Horns!
Ah that's kinda awesome that your sis is staying with you for the rest of the week! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd ahh, don't get me started on orange - my school's colors are orange and black. And when I say orange, I mean loud, look-at-me, freakin' orange. Not the biggest fan of it. I wish ours could be burnt orange instead! ^^;
Oh I LOVE this post. I really love the last print! I'm curious...what is it that you do now post- spreadsheets and numbers? :)
ReplyDeleteaw, football season is one of the things i definitely miss about the US!
ReplyDeleteI'll take the salted caramel and the lovely jacket with plaid liner. I love anything with plaid! I wonder how long it will take before my daughter gets into the Longhorn fever. She's loving everything so far!
ReplyDeleteHook 'em Horns! Love that orange coat.
ReplyDeleteamazing selection :) I'm following you now :)

YES, always...and glad you didn't say banana! :)
ReplyDeleteI thought the straw was a Pixie stick, I'd take that and the salted caramel.
UMD has nice colors, Fear the Turtle!!! LOL, now if they could actually play good football. They play a local Division II school on Saturday. They may actually have a chance to win that one.
This is the cutest roundup. Enjoy the time with your sister...and football : )
ReplyDeleteConfession: I love orange. So I'm excited about the pretties that you chose.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great time with your sister!
Siri is such a cool name!
ReplyDeleteThose straws are so fun!
ReplyDeleteYou had me convinced at salted caramels, stripey straws, and Nars. Sold! Enjoy sister-time, and stay safe in that weather! Hopefully all the heavy stuff has passed.
ReplyDeleteI really do hope the weather is okay!
ReplyDeleteI wish I were an orange fan, however it's often bland black and grey for me.
I like the first photo! Enjoy your time with your sister! xo

I love all your burnt orange selections!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE burnt orange. Love. ♥ (just in case you weren't getting the drift). Sigh.
ReplyDeleteAlso, for the record, BSU colors are spastic orange + spastic blue. It's a bit painful . . .
Oh, and have a fabulous visit with your sis--may the weather hold up and the game end in your favor!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh I'm in love with those straws ! I love orange, it always makes me smile :)

ReplyDeleteI'm hoping the weather will be good to you!! :) And I'm loving this round-up of orange...I've never been too big of an orange fan, but I love the straws and the coat!
ReplyDeleteI am so, so excited for college football and football in general. Yay!

September kicks my butt, so I have a lot of catching up to do. However. As a Tennessee Vol fan (ahem), I can agree that orange looks good on everyone. As long as it's Chrysanthemum Orange. Great collection, but go Vols!
ReplyDeleteUh, I beg to differ, burnt orange is a beautiful color, as illustrated by your great round up. Cardinal paired with gold is nothing to write home about. ;)
