The frozen shaking tundra turned me upside down on my head these past few days and I ended up staying home from work today (
Lauren, trying to take care of myself). It's been a tough slog getting back into the grind after having the holidays off, particularly making sure I've been getting enough sleep. Lots of hot tea, wool socks, and blankets and pillows. Plus some fancy new flannel pajamas. I know it's cold practically everywhere - everyone take care of yourself and drive safe if you're going to be behind the wheel.
I have a fun (mystery) house guest coming to stay with me this weekend; it's going to be a real riot. Also Siri and I are in the process of planning a January ski trip. Not a bad way to kick off The Adventures of 2015.
sounds good and bad at the same time. take care xoxo
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself! Flannel pajamas sound awesome. I love wearing cozy stuff at home! Have fun with your mystery house guest!
ReplyDeleteWell. I'm so sorry you don't feel well, but can I say that I'm beaming proudly right now?! Good for you for paying attention and taking care, and it sounds like you'll need some rest if you have a super-secret MYSTERY HOUSE GUEST.
ReplyDeleteAnd really glad you convinced Siri to come along to ski! Make sure she does some research on how to shoot pictures in the snow! ;)
It sounds like you're keeping plenty warm, with the tea, wool, and flannel. I hope you're feeling better this morning.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely hard to get back into the rhythm of things after the holidays...it's good you're paying attention to yourself, Rooth:) And have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling oh-so-much better today . . . so you can take part in all manner of shenanigans! :) A fun-filled weekend to you . . .
ReplyDeleteYep, it's definitely cold here! Even I am wearing flannel pajamas, albeit pink and black polka dot ones :-)
ReplyDeleteThe tea Rex made me giggle :-)
stay waaarm!
ReplyDeleteI feel like January is just a hard month altogether. Sounds like you have all the necessary ingredients to get back in the swing of things!!
ReplyDeleteAw, feel better, girl! I'm sure a weekend with your mystery guest will do a world of good! But now my curiosity is piqued ;) xo
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear! I just got well from a cold too. Hope the tea and warm socks help with your recovery! Have fun with the mystery guest (who could it be?!) and skiing later this month! The colder it gets, the more I want to go snow tubing ;).
ReplyDeleteFlannel jim jams are just the best! I was just thinking I wish there was some device that I could just walk through the front door and immediately it would strip me of my outside clothes and automatically put me in my pajamas. That's the dream.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself!

Flannel PJs sound so awesome right now. I'm sorry you got sick--I did too and it was terrible.

Such a contrast to the stifling heat we are experiencing this side of the world. Even the though of flannel pjs have me breaking out into a sweat. Hope you are feeling heaps better and the snug comforts helped. Maybe it's a good idea to get all the colds/flu out of the way before the new year begins in earnest?
ReplyDeleteYay for planning a ski trip! (Switzerland?).
ReplyDeleteFeel better!! The t-rex/little arms joke never gets old...
Awwwie Rooth, I hope you feel better now!! Xx
