There is one specific thing about the
house I'm featuring today that makes it THE BEST of 2013 so far in my opinion. One grandiose thing that makes every other quality about the home pale in comparison, for me. After I saw the picture, I knew I had to blog about it and share it with you all. I'll give you a hint - it has been a dream home feature of mine ever since I saw
Beauty and the Beast. Leave your guess in the comment section and also share with me your favourite part of this home. There are lots of lovely qualities and I'm sure that you will be able to find plenty that you like about it.
Is that the backyard?! Looks like a foreste area, how lovely it would be to sit out under a tree.
ReplyDeleteI knew it! As soon as you said Beauty and the Beast I knew it was the amazing library. Wow! Love this feature!
ReplyDeleteLibrary? Talking candlestick???
ReplyDeleteThat library is unreal! As is the entire house.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm a big fan of Beauty and the Beast, and also books, so I'm guessing the library. It's my fave part!!!!
ReplyDeleteGrandiose, indeed! I like everything in that house. Most especially the place with bookshelves as walls! Totally magnificent!
ReplyDeleteLIBRARY WITH LADDERS!! Yesss, that has always been a fantasy of mine too from Beauty and the Beast!! Haha, we have that in common! Though I do love the manicured lawn out back, too.
ReplyDeleteMy jaw dropped when I saw the library. I love how the small details, like the artwork, the rug and fabric(cushions) accentuated a minimalist design and made it homey and warm. I saw the trailer,I'd love to watch Beauty and The Beast.
ReplyDeleteYep, that library had me at Hello. :)
ReplyDeleteTHAT LIBRARY! With ladders! That’s where you would find me.
ReplyDeleteUmmm I would never leave the house if I had a library like that!
ReplyDeleteIt couldn't possibly be the library, could it? :)
ReplyDeleteI'd never get anything done if I had a library like that.
Without even seeing the photos, I knew it had to be a floor-to-ceiling library. I've wanted one, too, ever since seeing Beauty & the Beast over 20 years ago. :)
ReplyDeleteThe house was great - but the LIBRARY! I could live there! :-)
ReplyDeleteoh this is too easy. the library of course!! "heeeere's where she meets prince charming but she won't discover that it's him till chapter threeeee."
ReplyDeleteWOW, that library looks amazing! I could get lost there for hours.
ReplyDeletewow, I'd love to say I like the library best. but for me it may be the outdoor areas for once... what an amazing find!!
ReplyDeleteThe library!!! I would love to have a place like that, the windows, the woods, and pretty much everything inside {though I'd add a bit more color myself}.
ReplyDeleteI have started looking at houses myself but I'm not in a huge hurry.
I want want want that library. My biggest dream was always having bookshelves from floor to ceilings and needing a ladder to reach some of the books. Awww, will it ever happen?
ReplyDeleteoh I like the field of trees - is that weird? - and all the floor to ceiling windows...
ReplyDeleteTHAT LIBRARY! I'm sure there were other lovely features . . . but, seriously, once I saw floor to ceiling bookshelves it was all over . . .
ReplyDeleteOh my god, that library. Stunning. And what stunning contrast to how minimal the rest of the house is. Good job on this one, Missy!
ReplyDeleteLauren @ still + life
Oh! Being a huge fan of The Beauty and the Beast -- it's definitely the wall to wall library! Ahh, it's a dream of mine too. :D Someday I will have that!
ReplyDeleteWell, it has been forever since I saw Beauty & the Beast. But, based on your love of reading, I'm going to guess it's that library ;-)
ReplyDeleteOverall, love the contemporary architecture and furnishings in this home.
Oh, yes. The library. The library! What an incredible house. I loved the evening photos and how the wood softened and blended in with nature. What a perfectly professionally decorated home from top to bottom. I loved the wooded back yard. In Michigan, we redid a Frank Lloyd Wright home and this home has aspects that remind me of it.
ReplyDeleteRooth, this house is gorgeous! I love the modernity of the home and the library - amazing. I can't wait to have a house full of books.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
