All dressed up with no where to go
Glittering, sparkling diamonds littered the ground on Sunday - a bit of the glitz and glam of Hollywood's Oscars paying us a visit in Dallas by way of freezing rain and snow. I slipped and slid in my car all the way back from the barn, where three teeny tiny, rough and tumble ponies had escaped from their stall and were gallivanting around the property like a pack of wild dogs. Not sure if they were just frisky out in the cold but they seemed to enjoy kicking up their heels and dodging their "jailers." Unfortunately, Ryon didn't share the same feelings about their new found freedom and they honestly just freaked him the F out. Pretty sure he though they were direwolves...
But back to the glitz and glam, this jewel-box of a home is all decked out for award season. The indoor / outdoor living concept brings all of the raw, natural Texas elements in (although I hope it's well protected against the summer heat) and there is little necessity for art when you've got windows for walls. If I were hosting an Oscar's watching party, I'd insist on you all dressing up in black-tie fashion and keep the bubbly flowing until rosy-fingered dawn made her appearance over the horizon the next morning.

If I live in a house like this, I seriously would have Oscar-worthy parties everyday....sigh....and poor Ryon. Those darn ponies!
ReplyDeleteohmygosh I want this house.
ReplyDeleteCool and stylish - though a bit too square and strict for me. :-)

Oh wow. So fancy. I'd be so afraid to really 'live' in this house though. I don't think I'd be able to relax!
ReplyDeleteyipes to the snow and ice! we are getting hit with that stuff right now actually. boo. glad you made it home safe and that ryon is too. :)
That is a gorgeous house. I'd only need like a Squajillion bucks for it though ;)
ReplyDeleteRyon, poor fellow . . . :)
ReplyDeleteAs for the house, I'm not cool enough to live there. Pretty sure.
I long for indoor/outdoor living. It's just not possible here with mosquitoes as big as your head (I also long for a ginormous screened porch), and the way this one opens to the outdoors makes me swoon. Maybe (teeny critique) a few harsh lines here (lots of concrete and hard edges, yes?), but the vibe is pretty nice.
ReplyDeleteoh man, i would love to have a house with the indoor/outdoor living. those doors are amazing. i love that house!
ReplyDeleteooo i love a home that is set up sort of like a vacation home with indoor and outdoor living. i could live there.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like quite the Oscar party you'd be throwing! Gorgeous home. My fave has got to be the traditional furniture in the (guest?) room with the modern fireplace set inside the wall?! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteThat is surely an Oscar party worth house! The pool is amazing as well.
ReplyDeleteRowena @ rolala loves
I've never seen Game of Thrones! We had glitz (ice pellets, then snow) the whole way to Baltimore this morning. No more!!!
ReplyDeleteoh, wow, all that space...
ReplyDeleteI know I'm way late, but congrats on your very own horse. Ryon sounds like a fun handful. I can't wait to see a picture of him all slimmed down. (Off topic, but I haven't had time to comment much -- sorry.)
