Stayin' alive

Hello beauties, I'm still alive, if you can believe it.  Thank you all for the well-wishers and kind thoughts on my NYC jaunt last week, which was a whirlwind work trip as my trips to the Big Apple typically are.  This one was a little more star-studded than my trips to NYC usually are - Pamela Anderson was staying a few doors down the hall from me and we also ran into Seth Meyers leaving 30 Rock.  It's a little surreal being back in Texas, running a serious sleep deficit and sweating through an 87 degree afternoon today.  But generally, everything is going fine and well and hopefully this upcoming week will be a little more low key.  I've got some major catch up reading to do on all of your blogs and I apologize for my absence.  Darlings, I hope you've been well and are getting prepped for the Thanksgiving holidays!

Let's take ourselves back to some regular blog programming with this cute little house in the M Streets district in Dallas.  The owners may be a little too much in love with dark paint colours but how cute are all the little light fixtures and the tee-pee in the kid's room?  I wouldn't mind having one to duck into myself when everything gets a little overwhelming.

  3. Welcome home, dearie! Re-entry is a bear, isn't it?

Well, this is a sweet little house. I really like that they managed to incorporate lots of elements of a kid's life without sacrificing any elegance. They done good! ;) It's got a mix of formal and rustic that I like. This one for a win.

I really do adore that kid's room, and I actually don't mind the color palette

  6. Welcome home!! This house is delightful. I love the half-wall chalkboard wall in the kitchen, perfect to keep kiddos occupied while you're making dinner. And that kid's room is divine, too! Gray is totally "having a moment" it seems.
PS. Next time you see Seth Meyers tell him I adore him :) xo

  11. welcome back! look at your rubbing elbows with the celebs! you know i really like this house. i think the only part i am not loving is the living room but i think it looks like it's the last room on their makeover to-do list, so i bet that's why. everything else, i really like a lot. the bedrooms are spacious and cozy, the kids room adorable, the pool bonus, the kitchen is pretty nice and i love the nook. i like it all!
