Frenchie and I are going to a lake wedding this summer at his hometown. Although I've already picked out the dress that I'm going to wear, I'm really wishing for a silk dress right about now. It's the height of the summer and there's something nice about feeling cool fabric against your skin on a muggy day, particularly when you're dancing around in heels. With some of these summer dresses, I could even get away with strappy sandals on the dance floor. I also don't have a single non-solid coloured party dress - no prints! (Sidebar: I think all of my party dresses have pockets too.) I think I'm slightly afraid of busy looking dresses but nearly all of the dresses below are busy with prints. Perhaps it's the effect of prints on silk, it reminds me of watercolours. Oh, what the hey. You don't need a wedding to wear a silk dress right? Which one do you like the best?
