Slick style
It has been a real treat seeing all the snowy pictures coming down from the Northeast. I hope you all stayed safe and warm throughout the weekend.
The featured house this week is a real treat - typically you only see these types of mixed indoor / outdoor spaces in tropical weather, although I suppose that Texas is pretty close to a tropically warm climate most of the year. Favourite room in the house? Definitely the kitchen. It won me over with all that bright light and how it opens up to the outside. I also quite like the rough hewn slab of wood that acts as the formal dining room table? I feel like the outdoor spaces in this home really prevent it from becoming too sterile, dressed up and stiff. Let's gather together on the rooftop deck or around the outdoor fireplace and chat, drink and make merry!

Nice...
ReplyDeletelove the deck and bedroom
that's where I'll probably be most of the time
if that's mine.
I like how the lighting in the first photo made me think there were some mustard yellow accents going on, which I was into. And that area by the fireplace is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat tv is ginormous!! And that shower is so amazing, it is actually bigger than my kitchen. I'll take it!
ReplyDeleteObviously, I have a few issues. I saw nary a cool feature until I read the comments and went back in search of them. All I saw the first time through were the windows--and the fight it would be to keep them clean! :)
ReplyDeleteThat shower!!! I think I've had apartments smaller than that behemoth shower. Pardon me while I just move myself in ;)
ReplyDeleteTHE KITCHEN IS THE BEST. I love indoor/outdoor houses...it could possibly be one of those things that would make me move to a year-round warm environment, but for now I'll be content looking at the photographs, huddled in my blanket in this tiny dorm room haha. Thanks for sharing! (:
ReplyDeleteOhmygoshohmygosh! Am suck a sucker for big kitchens, and this one is just dreamy!!!!
ReplyDeleteI liked the inside but the outside felt too much like a box for me. 50/50 love in other words! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOoh. I crave outdoor-indoor spaces like this.
ReplyDeleteThat is one sleek fireplace to "make merry" around!
ReplyDeleteAmazing house. Of all the ones I've seen on your site, I'd say that this is the house that I would pick. If I had the choice. I wish.
ReplyDeleteLUXESSED
Damn. This house is great. I like an open space in the kitchen. It just feels very comfortable. :D
ReplyDeleteI really like this one. I either like really modern architecture or really traditional architecture {with modernish furniture}.
ReplyDeleteYou might like Lake Flato architects. They are in some part of Texas. Maybe near you?
That is a great kitchen--the double stove is amazing. But this house isn't for me. It would probably grow on me, but I prefer a home with a traditional roof.
ReplyDeleteOh my God, that kitchen. I have no words.
ReplyDeleteThe bathroom too.
