The great outdoors

The weather this weekend was completely glorious and gorgeous - it was cool in the evenings and sunny and bright during the day.  We went trail running on Saturday and grabbed some wonderful wooded shots (and shadow video as well) that I'll share later this week.  The Austin house I featured this week most likely sees some completely awesome fall foliage, especially on the bridge down to the boathouse.  The inside of the home is beautiful but the outside is simply stunning.  How sweet is the swimming pool and the outdoor fireplace?  I could throw some bomb-ass barbecues here.

  1. With the right shutters, this place looks very defendable. (The Walking Dead was especially creepy tonight.) :D

I'm glad you had a nice weekend!

  3. Love the exterior. The interior creeps me out a bit though - too sterile and impersonal. We're getting beautiful weather here too, none of the constant rain that I hear about in the Pacific Northwest. The colors are exploding and the sun has been painting everything with a breathtaking golden sheen, especially right before sunset. It's the magic hour.

  4. Oh my, what a gorgeous house! I do like the varying textures in the interiors, it's sleek at the same time carefully balanced with contemporary furniture. I love every corner of this home, inside and out.

  7. Ehrmahgerd! That outdoor fireplace.....but let's talk about that kitchen on the third pic....I could live in that space alone.

  8. Yeah, this place is pretty much drop-dead gorge. It's a bit cold for me to actually *live* in, but that doesn't make it any less stunning. I love that kitchen (probably because it seems to be the warmest in the house!) and the outdoor spaces are amazeballs. I'm looking forward to lounging on those chairs, gazing at the distant view while you whip up something delectable for me.

  9. Damn. That's not a house, that's a compound. I don't know how much use I'd get out of that bridge since I'd have to be forced across it shrieking, but the pay off at the other end is pretty divine. $6M for a view of those sunsets seems worth it to me. xo

  10. oh, this is so pretty. there are so many parts it's hard to tell what is what. but i like that, i'd love to have separate little houses. one just for me perhaps ; ) and that bridge is so stunning (it looks nice and sturdy too), and the surroundings, wowzers. good find.
