Why I love skiing

When the air gets nippy and the coats and scarves come out, you know it's almost time for ski season.  For many, it's already started.  For me, it's just a dream that I have to transform into a reality in the next few months.  I've been browsing a multitude of different ski sites recently but the French Alps have really caught my attention.  It's not even so much the ski slopes... okay, maybe saying "Gone skiing in France" in your voicemail would sound really hoity toity, in a fun way.  But it's really due to the lodging options.  The accomodations are otherworldly.  Could you imagine staying in any of these fabulous ski chalets and hotels?  The harder question is - could you imagine LEAVING any of these places?  It'd be so difficult to convince me even go outside to do the skiing part.  But by now, we all know that skiing would be just an elaborate excuse so I could lounge around in one of these wonderous places.  So there's a abnormal amount of antlers, wood paneling (again!) and furs... the lap of luxury can be a tough place to be!

  2. OK I don't ski AT ALL but would stay in those places in a heart beat. I could just stay inside with the hot cocoa waiting(from scratch of course) while everyone came in with frozen noses from being outside all day!

  3. Yes, if I could be in any of these places (at least 1!), I'd die happy. I've never been skiing before, but to stay in these rooms, I'd surely start.

  4. I've never gone skiing. I'm not really a fan of the cold or the snow.

But...to stay at THAT house, I might make an exception to my rule. How cool is that shower?! haha

  5. OK, I am a complete GIRL when it comes to skiing... I hate the cold, I hate the "workout" and I'm just plan miserable the whole time! BUT I wouldn't mind staying in the French Alps in one of these cabins sipping on hot chocolate!

  6. Oh sure, I'd take up "skiing" to stay there . . . Of course, I'd probably have to stay in, with a good book, and fresh hot cocoa . . . that jet lag is a killer, you know! ;)

  8. Beautiful and luxurious! I especially love the bathroom (second photo) and the dining area (fifth photo). Goodness, they look surreal! I can only imagine the feeling of having a break in one of these places after a fun and exhausting skiing session. :’>
