To sleep, perchance to dream

Oh Monday, you couldn't spite me anymore than if you tried with all your might.  The awful surprise I received this morning was that our office firewall now blocks Bloglovin'!  Now what am I supposed to do when I need a break from the banality of rows upon rows of numbers?  Stare out the window?  Oh right, I don't have one.  Sigh.  It's unfair to have to go into Monday after a lovely Sunday, especially one that's replete with bunny rabbits hopping along flower covered trails and butterflies lazily floating through the air.  The only good thing about not having a window is I don't get to see how pretty spring is turning out to be in Texas.

I never get enough sleep on the weekends either.  I can sleep in as late as possible, nap during the afternoons, come Monday morning, I always look and feel exhausted.  Maybe tonight, I'll try to go to bed early and dream that I live in the my featured home this week.  At $16 million, I know that it's only going to be a dream but hey, you cope with your Monday however you see fit.

  1. I hate being blocked at work so much. Our firewall is pretty liberal, so whenever I hit a site that says it is blocked, I worry that some site admin is going to think I am looking at porn. Sometimes some pretty random things are blocked.

  2. Dreamy photos....too bad your office blocked bloglovin...if it makes you feel better, I don't even have wifi at my workplace. :-(

  4. Ohhh that porch! I'm also loving the huge windows in the living room.

Why in the world is Bloglovin blocked? that's crazy!!

  5. Dream home!

Also it really sucks that your job blocked Bloglovin. When my company blocked Pinterest and Instagram, I was super annoyed! Although, I'm still thankful I have Youtube and Twitter. You might want to try Feedly as your "work" blog reader. Maybe that one isn't blocked?

  6. I'll take it!

Sorry to hear about the over-zealous firewall. I guess you'll just have to bookmark my blog and start reading from the beginning when you need a momentary distraction at work. Oh no wait, the sleeping thing is supposed to happen st home, isn't it??? :)

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm afraid late sleep and naps aren't as restful as early sleep. It's not fair!

  8. If I had those upholstered chairs in my kitchen, you can bet I'd dump an entire pot of marinara sauce on one of them. Or a glass of red wine across all three. Love that ivy covered wall...

  9. I don't think anyone could feel stressed on a Monday if they had that place to chill in over the weekend. I know what you mean about feeling tired on a Monday, no matter how relaxing your weekend was. That's rubbish about them blocking bloglovin, that's so mean!

  10. It’s the Monday curse. I’m always extra tired and extra hungry on a Monday. Our company has such a liberal firewall I sometimes forget that other companies block certain sites. That seriously sucks.

  11. CHECK OUT THAT LIBRARY! You could always do what I do at work: I keep a post-it in my desk drawer with the list of all the blogs I check regularly. Sure, things like RSS readers would be more convenient, but where's the fun in that?

  12. If I ruled the world, we would only have a 4 day work week and Monday would definitely be the day to get nixed.
Love the flooring throughout this home.

  14. That reminds me; when I try to sneak a peek at your blog at work my screen almost always freeze. Have no clue why, it doesn´t happen with any other blogs I read - the miracle of tech stuff huh?!

  15. Where the heck do you find these houses? And I feel your pain - my work has EVERYTHING blocked. If it could even be remotely interesting, it's blocked.

  18. Tuesday always seems much worse than Monday, because the freshness of a new week has worn and it's still so far from Friday. Yesterday, when I went to wake my nanny kid, he said, "but I want to keep dweaming". Don't we all, really?! I hope your week is moving along nicely!

  19. Ouch! Happy Monday I guess. I wish I had time to take online breaks at work, but I guess when I have them I usually go outside - even in a rain storm I need the air although I'm surrounded by windows.

I love the herringbone floor in this house. It's something I want to do in my future house, even if that house is as large as the house above's powder room.

  20. I do so hate it when firewalls block our favourite sites at work! I don't even have access to gmail.

That house is gorgeous! I'm off to see where I can I borrow $16 million from;)
