Time is (not) on my side

MochiThings
And just like that, I've run out of time again.  It seems like in this first week back to work, I've been trying to squeeze in work, family, errands, working out and blogging in the meager 24 hours that we're given every day.  I do enjoy being busy again but whew!  I need to get my energy levels back up again, particularly in the afternoon.  So far I've been relying on my good friend coffee but does anything else work for you guys?  I mean, besides sleeping earlier at night.  Because that's too simple.

In other news, I'm going through blog-withdrawal.  I do apologize on my tardiness and am meaning to get to your blogs.  Unfortunately blogs are blocked at work so I'm unable to check on them during the day but I'll make my way through them throughout the week.  Luckily, I'm still able to check personal email so if there is something that you'd like me to check out, don't be shy and shoot me an email!

More later my friends - I hope you all are well and staying happy and healthy!

  1. I'm so tired, but I didn't do anything particular....

  2. I'm right there with you on the energy level. The move, getting settled, working on the PhD, the baby and pre-schooler, etc, etc. Because of the bad rep coffee gets, I try to limit my intake every day, so what I do is try to trick myself. Whenever I feel like I need some coffee, I make myself get some water or hot herbal tea instead. It does the trick most of the time, but sometimes I really need a nice cup of coffee. Let me know if you find a better solution and good luck with the adjustment.

  3. I hear you, it is really hard to get everything done in one day. And a peculiar bloggers problem I've come across lately, which I did not anticipate, is my inability to take any decent photographs for my blog because I never have any access to daylight - apart from the 7 minutes I'm standing on the train platform in the morning. Now that can't be healthy! But it takes time to get into a routine that doesn't leave you too sleep deprived, you'll get there :)

  4. Gosh, sounds like you are busy, busy, busy! This might sound a little preachy but coffee actually makes you more tired. I have cut down to 2 a day first thing in the morning (because I am a total wreck without it) and I have so much more energy in the afternoon. Hope you are enjoying the new job!

  5. When I'm feeling super productive I write all my posts over the weekend and schedule them so I only have to visit other people throughout the week. I really don't know how people can work full time and blog a lot - I obviously haven't managed it yet.

My motto is no coffee, no workee so I can't help with solutions for that, but I also try to take a walk of some sort at lunch. I find that helps a bit.

I hope you are enjoying your new job!

  6. good luck. aside form increasing my coffee intake I can't think of anything else. you might simply need some time to get used to it (that's what I keep telling myself right now. because I can't be getting old, can I???)

  7. Oh, I hate it when companies block sites! Mine blocks a few like Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook (which I don't mind anyway), game sites, dating sites, etc. I don't know what I'd do if my company blocked blogs too. There goes my whole morning of perusing!

  8. Don't push yourself too hard--and do try that going to bed earlier thing. I don't have much experience with it, but I hear it helps. Around 3pm I usually splash a little cold water on my face.

No need to apologize, we understand about time. As long as you don't disappear from posting and commenting, we'll be happy!

  11. Blogs are blocked at work? Sounds like you work at a scary place. Though now that you mention, I wonder if blogs will be blocked at the place I'm going to!

  12. Take your time in getting adjusted to the new rhythm of things. I have a loving relationship with coffee..so much that it has never let me down and has been with me throughout sleepless nights. Have a relaxing weekend ahead.
