For the homebodies
Some homes that I've shared in the past on this blog, like this one, are party houses. They're perfect for people who enjoy entertaining and the flow of the home is very conducive to having big parties.
However, this house is for my homebodies, the people who would rather curl up with a good book or movie than go out for a night on the town. It's got wonderfully comfortable-looking furniture for lounging on and getting up only once or twice to refresh that iced tea. I think I could sink into the sectional in the living room and not move for twelve hours. Could you read in bed all night on any of those beds (I still can't tell which is the master) because I could. Oh, but the best part is that you could still have intimate gatherings here. There are separated conversation spaces that I think would be great for a book club meeting.
PS - That lamp in the sitting area right off the kitchen? I own the same one. Maybe this house is trying to tell me something...

Yes please! Now here's a house I could live with/in. Love the floors, love the lighting, love the space and openness. And what a gorgeous pool! Ahhhh, yes, one can daydream. :)
ReplyDeleteYes! Being a homebody myself, I can definitely say you are right on this one... what a perfect house to curl up next to the fire place with a good book or cup of tea. This is probably my most favorite house you've shared thus far. :)
ReplyDeleteI think this is definitely one of my favourite houses you have posted. It "speaks" to me! :) It's the Scandinavian-style bathroom that caught my eye (also love those beautiful doors that lead on to the pool area).
ReplyDeleteI would move in today and not change a thing.
ReplyDeleteI love this house, Rooth! It IS perfect for a homebody like me:)
ReplyDeleteYes! That is my kind of house. I love all the natural light it gets, too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful home and one I would love to have myself :) natural wood throughout and huge windows, what more could you ask for!
ReplyDeleteLooking at these houses, I realize that I have little to no seating in my own house.
ReplyDeleteI think I like classic books!
Ooohhh...and the open windows. Yes! I think it's trying to tell you to MOVE IN! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely a homebody...so naturally I love this house.
Nice home with good light!
ReplyDeleteHoly halleluja! I think I found my dream home! Big windows, great space but not too big, modern but warm...aaahhh, I´m in real state dream :)
ReplyDeleteLove this WOW! I wish I could live in any of these!

Love all the natural light in the house!I could use some of that. My current apartment is as dark as a grave.
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, i am a homebody. love this house, that rug under the table, heart heart heart. and your lamp?! stunning! i want one, where did you find it? xo
ReplyDeleteOh, you knew this would be perfect for me! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd speaking of great lamps, how awesome is that giraffe lamp?!
I like the lamp! The place does look comfy. Hopefully I wouldn't decide to do morning chin ups on the bed frame. I'd probably end up breaking that little doggie--among other things.
ReplyDeleteI love the floor-to-ceiling windows. Perfection!
ReplyDeleteI think if I had a house like this, I would be a home-body too! Love, love your home features.
ReplyDeleteThe two kilims in the living room in these photos are dead-on perfect! I should know, I do the same thing.
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen is great, and I love all the bed frames, but I'm confused by the use of clapboard on the face of the tub in the bathroom! It's like they had extra and just decided to build the tub in?
