I'm on a roll
Happy weekend chickadees! I'm a mother-freaking roll with the small houses. This week's bungalow was built in 1920 and is a mere 1,300 square feet but chock full of goodness. Let's talk about the porches on all sides of the house - so you can relax in the shade at different times of the day. Or the clever use of a door as a piece above the sofa in the living room? And the simple, crisp and clean decorating themes throughout. You can bet your bottom dollar that the kitchen is the main gathering place during any type of party in this home. The whole house likely puts its residents and guests at ease with friendly yellow accents throughout. As you can imagine, in 1,300 square feet, there is only one bathroom but that one will done, won't it?
This is the type of home that I want to have... whenever I finally get around to buying a house.

After reading so much of your home posts, i think you truly have an appreciation for homes (duh) and why homes are important :) It's great and refreshing to see these pics!
ReplyDeleteI love (yes, love) black metal fences! I've always wanted one--and a black metal gate at the entrance of the hallway leading to the bedrooms (saw that on a tv show) would be nice too. throw in porches and a fireplace...I'm sold. I want!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI do love this one, both the size and the porches. I also really like the wood counter tops. What is happening in the back yard though? Is that all the same house? I have always wanted an atrium so if it's that I like it even more, but that almost looks like a mobile home in the back yard....
ReplyDeleteI want this house too! Look at that porch...sigh....but really, this house is just perfect.:)
ReplyDeleteI like the size of this house. It's perfect especially the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! I love that porch.
ReplyDeleteThis one is one of my favourites! Though the back yard needs a bit of work. I'll take it!
ReplyDeleteThat definitely looks very cosy. It makes me really want my own home :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely charming with all the rustic touches equipped with modern day amenities. My husband and I are getting ready to buy a house at the end of the year, I hope we find a gem like this!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a very cute house! :-)

Your posts are bringing out all my home decorating urges ^^
ReplyDeleteI love that this is considered small in the US! This is like a mansion to me! That porch melted my heart!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful house. I wish we had places like this in London. It's the lovely large windows that I love - makes the whole place so light and airy
ReplyDeleteI probably don't really need to tell you, but . . . I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know, I'm super fussy about having more than one bathroom. I seemingly always have to pee when Jamal is in the shower. xo
ReplyDeleteIs it a sign that I've been living in London too long that I think this place looks really spacious?? You don't even know how much I want to come to Texas and eat ALL THE FOOD. x
ReplyDeleteThat kitchen! I don't even cook but I love it!
ReplyDeleteNow, this is my kind of house! Spacious with being too massive and still cozy without being cramped. Love it.
ReplyDeletethis is the realistic home of my dreams. it is so comfortable and updated and charming. we only have one bathroom now and it actually doesn't bother me. in fact i'd rather not clean multiple bathrooms ; ) and i love this one! i really like vintage inspired bathrooms. they are my favorite. and the big windows, i do need more of those!
ReplyDeleteI like how compact it is. It seems always fresh to be in. What a comfy home. I want to have something like this someday. :)
ReplyDeleteLove love love love. I love bungalows. Did I mention that I love them? This one is great. Awesome big windows and loads of natural light. I love the neutral color palette that makes everything seem more open. And that door over the living room sofa? Inspired!
ReplyDeleteLauren @ still + life
Love the painted white fireplace and the white master bath. I have a thing for pedestal sinks. I know, weird.
ReplyDeleteI think it's so nice to have a porch that goes around the side of the house.
