Haha, oh man. So so true! I had this older male customer... and he would tell my female co-workers and I that we looked tired. I wanted to punch him in his face.
So true! If you feel tired try to get some rest! I know it's hard but sometimes we need to listen to what our bodies are telling us and apparently strangers, co-workers or whoever else told you that you look tired. Take care of yourself!
I remember going to work (at a counseling office, no less); I had just broken up with a boyfriend so I had shed more than my fair share of tears. I walked into the office and one of the male counselors looks at me and says, "Do you have allergies or something--because you're looking a little puffy."
Perhaps I shouldn't admit this, but I totally don't use concealer on my giant under-eye bruises when I want sympathy for being overworked {at work}. People know they shouldn't say anything but some people are noticeably nicer. :)
Hehe. Though for me, even worse, is when someone in-pregnant or without kids tells me they are tired. It's like, cry you a river. I don't wanna hear it.
haha so true!

ReplyDeleteSo true! Whenever someone says that to me, I just give them to evil eye and say 'thanks'.
ReplyDeletelol, that is good advice! My favorite (least favorite) is when someone asks a woman who is not pregnant, "When are you due???"
ReplyDeleteIt just doesn't pay to show an interest in some people! :)

ReplyDeleteTRUTH! Though the person saying it may not mean it insultingly (you can usually tell by the tone), it always rubs me the wrong way.
ReplyDeleteAh, so true.

Also a bad idea.
Yes! This! Also, "I'm worried about you."
ReplyDeleteLauren @ still + life
Awesome!!xx
ReplyDeleteWhat's the line in The Birdcage? "'You look tired' means 'you look old.' And 'you look rested' means 'you've had collagen.'" So yeah. Rule #1.
ReplyDeletelol, brilliant :)
ReplyDeleteAMEN. I hate when people say that to me. They might as well be saying, "Wow, you look like crap."
ReplyDeletei feel just like that!
ReplyDeleteIf you're the lady can you tell yourself you look tired? Because I look TIRED.
