I'm not sure how it slipped my mind but in just a few weeks, instead of typing from a beige box, I'll be writing to you all from a balcony facing the ocean with a warm sea breeze blowing. My hair will be salt and sand caked and I will have only worn swimsuits for an entire weekend. My cousin is getting married in Hawaii and my sister and I are attending his destination wedding.
Are we ready? Sadly not. But we've booked a flight and a place to stay and really, everything else is just extra, right? If any of you have gone to Maui, I'd love to hear your recommendations of things to do and places to eat.
Soooo jealous, Rooth! Have fun.
ReplyDeleteAloha:)
Oh. My. Dayum. I am so jealous – I have always always always wanted to go to Hawaii. Please take loads of pictures and it goes without saying but I hope you have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteSounds just wonderful, just the word Hawaii gives me the chills (in a good way)! :-)

Amazing! Have such a wonderful time!!!x
ReplyDeleteWhat?! Oh, that sounds lovely . . . I'll think I'll join you. Surely, I can blend in as a family member . . .
ReplyDeleteSince the ushers are usually connected to the groom, just say you're a friend of the bride. :)
DeleteWhy do I have the sense that this trip is just exactly the thing you need? Take some books. ;)
ReplyDeleteLauren @ still + life
Oooo, you (you?) booked a great room! If you're going to spend a weekend in swimsuits, does that mean you'll be shopping for a new one (or two)? Or did you already take care of that super-fun task?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be really jealous when the Hawaii posts hit the blog. ;)
want to fligh there immediately!
ReplyDeleteCiao
Lucky you! Sounds great!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine you'll have any trouble finding things to do! If anything, you can visit the beach and drink sugary drinks all day!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip! I'd love to see Hawaii some day!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a lot of fun! I haven't been so I don't have tips but I feel like anything you do there would be fun. I do have a note on my "map of places and things I want to see" about the Hana Lava Tubes. It looks like it's on Maui.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! I thought it said your brother was getting married, and I thought, wow! She's done a good job of keeping her brother a secret! Enjoy Maui. Theresa at Inspiration Cooperative goes to Hawaii every year, she probably has some good tips!
ReplyDeletewoo hoo! that sounds heavenly. i have been to oahu and kauai but never maui so i will be looking forward to a report back.
ReplyDeleteOhh Hawaii! I am so jelly :)

ReplyDeleteOh I'm jealous! I have a blog friend @mauishopgirl. I'm sure she'd love to give you recommendations!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness. in my old blog i did a whole post on what we did in maui (places to eat and visit) but sadly i took it down. my husband and i went to maui for our honeymoon and we were seriously thinking about quitting our jobs and moving there... but rules about bringing in pets were so strict we decided to leave our impulse to rest :) some of my favorite photos were taken in maui. we had such a wonderful time there, especially venturing out and meeting with local people.
ReplyDeleteOh dear. So jelly right now! I look forward to seeing your pics! You're probably not gonna wanna come home. Lol.
ReplyDeleteOh this sounds oh so delightful <3
