Hard to believe

Charlie Brown Christmas Ornament
I know this is difficult to believe but before tonight, I had never watched A Charlie Brown Christmas.  I know, it's practically un-American.  You guys, the movie is flipping adorable.  Sally's wish list for Christmas is priceless - “If it seems too complicated, make it easy on yourself—just send money. How about tens and twenties?”  And Linus with his security blanket explaining the real meaning of Christmas is probably the most precious thing I've seen all month (okay it's only December 3rd but still).  I really need to make this an annual tradition so that I, like Charlie Brown, don't forget about the true meaning of Christmas.

Now to find myself a Charlie Brown Christmas tree...

  4. You guys are kind of shocking me right now. Maybe I'm older than all of you, but that was pretty much Must See TV each year. Me? Looking forward to an Elf-fest this weekend, but that's a whole other movie! ;)

  5. Yay! You don't know how happy I am that we'll be sharing this tradition each year. Linus steals the show with his "That's what Christmas is all about Charlie Brown." I also love Pigpen's line after having his appearance insulted--"On the contrary, I didn't think I looked THAT good!"

    I love this! :D

  6. For the Charlie Brown Christmas tree - Target. But do it soon because they like to be slick and raise the price as it gets closer to Christmas. And A Charlie Brown Christmas is one of my favorite holiday movies. That and Polar Express and The Santa Clause and The Grinch...

  7. I have to chime in and also admit that I never watched it either. Maybe I should change that. My go to movies for Christmas are Christmas Vacation and Love Actually. Btw. Target sells a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.

  11. My eyes actually widened when I read that first sentence. Seriously??! Girl! All the Charlie Brown movies are my favorite. I love Snoopy's brother Spike and his silly moustache, and Pig Pen and his awesome swirling cloud of dirt. Have you seen "Snoopy, Come Home"?
I got this for my best friend as part of her Christmas present: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/p/home-gift-a-charlie-brown-christmas-a-book-and-tree-kit/23393160?ean=9780762431458
