Short week ahead

It's the best type of Sunday a gal can have, the Sunday before a short work week that leads to a summer vacation!  What's a beautiful weekend when there's an entire long week of sun and surf to look forward to, not to mention family.  The only thing that I'm worried about is not having a long enough book to read.

Can I just say that I really like the wooden ceilings in this little bungalow?  They make the house feel warm, rustic and all the things that make a house homey.  I could use a cottage like this down by the sea.  It's cozy and bright and I wouldn't even feel bad about tracking sand in and onto those gleaming white subway tiles in the master bath.

PS - I love when I find a "real" home that isn't staged.  Check out the paper towel rolls stored above the fridge in the kitchen.

  7. The vacation is well-timed, you're going to have a blast! (I'm happy for you, but plan to be jealous for at least a month.) That kitchen sink is a modern version of the one my parents had--it's now sitting in my father-in-law's basement. We installed a new one before selling the house and my wife couldn't bear to part with the old one. Her dad was SO thrilled to get custody of it. LOL! Oh, and that closet is amazing. I usually care nothing about closets, but even I love that one.

  10. The ceilings are a bit too dark/oppressive for me, but I bet it keeps the place cool in the summer months! I love that kitchen sink. xo

  20. Am I allowed to say AGAIN that this might be my favorite yet? I love bungalows. The color palette is great. The beams are stunning. I love the throw pillows in front of the tv so much (been on the hunt) that I might try to find a way to contact them, and I'm even considering storing my paper towels above the fridge.

  21. I think this may just be my favorite of all the homes you've shared, and I can't even really put my finger on why that is...
