First snow day of 2013

This isn't Texas, obviously but is still one of the prettiest snow pictures I've taken
We're officially iced in!  North Texas had a cold front with precipitation move in last night and there's not so much snow but lots of ice in the ground, shutting down highways and overpasses.  So I'm snuggled here in sweatpants on my couch with the heat cranked up and catching up on books and tv shows from the past... oh... forever.  This weekend is our office holiday party so I'm crossing my fingers that they'll have taken care of the road situation by that point - particularly so I can don my winter whites and do some major holiday frolicking.  I hope that wherever you are, that you are warm and toasty and enjoying the sparkles of the holiday season.

  1. Hope you are staying warm! We were ecstatic for the snow reports and somehow it missed us where we're staying in Missouri :/

  3. they kept saying it might snow here, but all i saw was a big blue sky wherever i looked. and usually by the time the clouds roll in it warms up too much. so i didn't believe it, but lo and behold i woke up this morning to snow! i am pretty giddy right now, there's nothing like snow in december and we rarely get it at this time of year. stay safe and warm! xo

  8. Yikes! Ice is so much more dangerous. Patches of it can catch drivers off guard so easily. Better to be safe in sweats rather than going out. That is a great picture. Except for the mountains in the background, it reminds me of the sledding hill in my parents neighborhood. Sledding at night was so much fun!!!
Now that you've seen the Charlie Brown Xmas special, you might want to check out the Halloween special too. It's honestly not quite as good--but it is good!
