Skipped to spring

After the wonderfully brisk, cooler temperatures last week, somehow it has gone back into the mid-80s in Texas. We have literally skipped right over winter and headed straight into spring.  I don't mind the warm weather but there's something just wrong about sweating on an outdoor patio during breakfast in December.

The town home that we're touring today is stuck in eternal spring, much like our weather here.  Can you really be down in the dumps with the seafoam green kitchen, pale blue master bedroom and daisy yellow master bath?    I can't help but love all the built-in nooks around the house too - the breakfast booth in the kitchen, window seats in the living room and even a little bench area in the bathroom.  So maybe spring is here again.  At least the warmer weather makes Christmas shopping a little more pleasant.

  1. Very pretty and the rooms appear larger than I would have expected. It was unseasonable warm here today too an will be for the next few days. I don't like it. Big temperature swings do something to my allergies and too often I end up getting sick. Yuck!

  5. It's going to be in the 50s here this week and that seems warm to me. :)

This house is pretty inside and seems to be filled with light but it doesn't seem to have a front.

  6. The living room with all the built in seating is awesome!! Where is the front door?

It also turned spring over here as well...which I don't mind, but I just wish it would stay consistent for a while!!

  7. It's been chilly here--the wind makes it seem COLD--but it's actually considerably warmer than usual. Still no snow on the foothills. Yikes!

And this house--such a happy little fellow! Such good use of space, too . . .

  8. Not usually a big fan of green in the house, but that sea foam green does work well, which now makes me re-think my whole colour scheme....hmmmmm.....

  13. I know I always tell you this but since I can’t conceive even remotely breaking a sweat at breakfast, I am jealous! I want short sleeves and flip flops, ice-creams and sun hats, I want it ALL! Ok, I think my rant is over. In other news, I think this house is like a breath of fresh air!

  16. I love the double sinks! And the little booth table!

Also I can't imagine it being warm in December. I can't wait to go home to the prairies so I can have a white Christmas. It seems so sad to not get frost bite on Christmas. But I hope you enjoy the warm temperatures to the fullest!

  22. Oh, the bathroom of this house would be my happy place. That tub is gorgeous but I am not sure if I could handle the yellow on the walls for years to come. Btw. the table and chairs outside are from IKEA I believe because we own the same table ;)

  23. Charming house, for sure. Did you catch that little chandelier over the tub? So sweet.
Well, like you, our weather went from stormy and cold to well into the 70's today. What gives?
