...And I've become a teeny bopper
Let's face it. Sometimes the emo indie songs are too much. They aren't appropriate for a sun-streaked spring and riding in the car with the top down, wind blowing through your hair. They have their own place, in a cool, dark bedroom when rain is streaming down the windows. But not for my summer mix.
And this is what I've been reverting to....
Yes, I'm ashamed. I'm really ashamed. But it's all so CATCHY! And POPPY! Sigh. And I'm a 17 year old again.
Does anyone share this guilty pleasure with me?

Ok, I'll admit that I'm rocking to the same tunes right now. But not all the time...I swear!!! hahaha

ReplyDeleteI only vaguely know who One Direction are, and as for Carly, I have no idea :) I feel old ...
ReplyDeleteOh...em....gee! I love all these songs too! The sad thing is, I'm actually not ashamed...I think my hubby is:P
ReplyDeleteSadly, yes . . . and we won't even mention how much older than you I am! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not even ashamed to admit I love One Direction...did you catch them a few weeks ago on SNL? Absolutely adorable.

ReplyDeleteSo I can't say I'm into CURRENT boybands or teeny-bopper music, but I will always have a soft spot in my heart for New Kids on the Block! xo

LOL I agree with Amy, summer is a great excuse for listening to all the poppy songs... even if they aren't the "best" songs they are definitely catchy!
ReplyDeleteHey, there's nothing wrong with staying young at heart in the music department!
ReplyDeleteHaha I think I'll be listening to teeny bopper pop until I'm an old lady :-)
ReplyDeletei'm not familiar with these. am i missing out? either way, i can admit that i also have some ridiculous guilty pleasures regarding music. no one will ever know what those are, though :)
ReplyDeleteI do, I do!
ReplyDeleteI've been listening to "Call Me Maybe?" on repeat for over a week. That and Train's "Drive By". I think I need an intervention.
My students talk about one direction CONSTANTLY. I have yet to hear a song however.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I still love to put on my Boys II Men album as well as Celine Dion. Shows my age, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteRonnie xo
OMG, these songs are stuck in my head too and I am so embarrassed, because I am way too old for this. However, they are happy and catchy.

I'm so obsessed with Call Me Maybe! I get so excited when it comes on the radio (which thankfully, is all the time)! I just wish I drove a hot pink jeep or something to get the most out of listening to this song! ;)
