Winter in May
Can you believe this? Snow in late May! It turns out that my friends ended up having a White Wedding after all. The snowflakes started falling yesterday afternoon and throughout the day, blanketing the ground in white, if not temporarily. By nightfall, the snow had melted but not before we were able to get some good photo ops.
Tahoe has been gorgeous, as I previously mentioned, even with the snow. Teetering around in heels in snow and in a short summer dress isn't my first choice of activities but I actually came prepared with a heavy coat, unlike some of the other ladies. Now if I only remembered my snow boots...
That was surprising to say the least, fub memory for the newly wed's though! :-)
ReplyDeleteI actually really love white weddings, and I bet you the pictures will turn out fantastic. Congrats anyhoo to your friend:)
ReplyDeleteHaha. It was snowing up here in central Oregon too which is NOT normal! What a weird Memorial Day weekend! Hope the wedding is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI bet the wedding pix are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHow bizarre! But looks very beautiful
ReplyDeleteomg that's crazy!!! but it's been quite cold where i live too. so strange!!
ReplyDeletethis is sort of unreal, isn't it?! i'm melting here down in florida and it's snowing in lake tahoe. craziness. curious to see what you've captured at the wedding.
ReplyDeleteWe had a big snow storm on our wedding day and got stuck on the road for 1.5 hours on the way to our reception but in December that is not unexpected. Made it so much more memorable though ;)
ReplyDeleteI've read that snow on the wedding day is supposedly a sign of fertility and prosperity.
Snow in May is Crazy. We barely had any snow all winter up in NY.
ReplyDeleteSnow? Yikes! Although, it is gorgeous . . . reminds me of a fairy wood! :)
ReplyDeleteSnow boots for a May wedding! lol
ReplyDeleteI heard about the snow, but didn't consider its impact on things like weddings. We were lucky, we had a beautiful May wedding day way back when. But enough things went wrong to give use a few good stories.
