Home again

Back again in Texas, home of the bold and the WARM.  I can't emphasize that last statement enough.  After getting off the plane in Houston from SFO, I immediately shed my fleece, Uggs and a few other layers as well.  It feels great to wear shorts, sandals and a t-shirt outside in the evenings.  It feels great to feel a warm summer breeze brush against your skin after you leave a frigid restaurant.  I think my skin literally opens up to it and starts glowing, like a UFO.  I'll always be a Texas girl through and through and it feels fantastic to be home.

I have a few fun posts lined up for y'all that I've been thinking about while I've been in route.  Look forward to sharing them with you soon!

  1. LOL, I understand what you mean! I had a visit in spring back from SFO to Virginia and loved the warmth as soon as the plane landed! Hope you enjoy and unwind and have fun back at home!

  3. I went to school in Houston, and I, too, loved getting off the plane. This is going to sound sarcastic (but it's not): that wave of humidity just lulls one into relaxation.

  7. As a life-long east coaster, I tend to like my frigid temperatures and I never go anywhere without a cardigan or scarf tossed in my bag. Even in Philly, where it gets sweltering hot and humid, there are days in the early spring when it goes from 40 to 75 to 40 again and the rains. Oh, and the winters? Brutal. Welcome home!
