Blue moon

It's a full blue moon tonight, my lovelies... the second full moon in the same month.  Does it give you goosebumps?  Can you feel that shiver down your spine?  Dogs and cats will howl and yowl for no reason at all tonight.  You could catch a glimpse of impossible things out of the corner of your eye.  Slumber may allude you, leaving you exhausted in front of a flickering television set, or you may toss and turn with nightmares.  It might just feel like Halloween is here, two months early.

Take time to do those things that you would do 'once in a blue moon.'  It won't be back for another three years (July 2015).  But a word of advice: pace yourself.  For those in the US, it's a THREE day weekend so you've got another three full days after all the havoc you wreak tonight.  For you international folks, go on and get after it!

  3. Tonight, I'll be doing something that I only do "once in a blue" - going to the gym!

Drinking full-fat chocolate milk is something I do more than once in a while, admittedly.

    Have a good weekend!

  11. Just last night I was looking up at the moon and thinking it had been too long since I'd seen it. I had a different Friday night, but no goosebumps (yet). I worked late (odd way to start a holiday weekend), joined my wife at the local Safeway (it's closing, everything 30% off), after watching her shuffle coupons for 45 minutes out of 60 I gave up and went home--for a late dinner and to watch the baseball game with my daughter.

And I waved hello to strangers (love that little guy). :)

Since it feels like Halloween, may I share a Halloween story???

  18. The full moon was spectacular, and I actually did something I do once in a blue moon - although it was unintentional. I went to two parties on Thursday night and Friday night and I haven't done that in ages!

  21. I think the wave hello to a stranger is my favorite of all those pics! And I think Neil Armstrong gifted us with a particularly beautiful blue moon this go around. xo
