You make me smile
This candyland-inspired home makes me smile. I don't know if it's the bluebird shutters or yellow stucco exterior but I can't help grinning. Bright colours and an eclectic mish-mash of furniture aren't at all my style but it really works well for this house. The current owners have avoided cluttering up the home and everything actually looks like it belongs together. And who can deny a kitchen that looks like that? It feels so warm, homey and cozy, what with the beams and the casual den off to the side. And check out the claw foot tub in the master bath. So decadent.
What do you guys think? Too much colour or just what you need to brighten up your day?

Oh...em....gee...that kitchen....I DIE! And I really like how the shutters stand out! I think this is my fave so far of all the houses you've featured, Ruth:)
ReplyDeleteOhh, I love how the rafters are out. It's a gorgeous home! :)

ReplyDeletei love the color and the interior of this house.
ReplyDeleteThe color is soo yummy Rooth. It works soo well with the warmth of the whole house.
ReplyDeleteAnd that daybed is exactly the one that I need / want in my living room!
I do like aspects, but I can't tell if I really love it. I'm all for being eclectic . . . but it's almost a bit much for me. Either that, or it's just too early in the morning to make such decisions. :)
ReplyDeleteThe exterior is done in a different style to the interior. I'm not the fan of the first but I thought the interior decor looks really cozy and spacious. LOVE the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteThat kitchen is gorgeous! And any home with exposed beams is perfect to me.
ReplyDeleteI think the yellow is just light enough to actually make it work. I love that bedroom and the wooden beams on the ceilings have to be my favorite thing about this house...beautiful.

ReplyDeleteLove that bathroom! I'm a big fan of houses with those beams on the ceiling. But I'm crazy so I'd paint them all white. Love those archways on the front of the house, too.
